A Hybrid Cloud Approach for Secure Authorized Deduplication

 

ABSTRACT

 

Data  De-duplication  is one of  the important  Data compression techniques for eliminating  duplicate copies  of  repeating  data and has  been widely used in cloud storage to  reduce the amount of  storage  space and save  band with .Instead of keeping multiple data copies with the same content, de-duplication eliminates redundant data by keeping only one physical  copy and referring other redundant data to that copy. Before sending the data to the cloud the Data will be encrypted and it will send the Token for security and to avoid Duplicate Data. To make data management scalable in cloud computing, de-duplication has been a well-known technique and has attracted more and more attention recently. Data deduplication is a specialized data compression Technique for eliminating duplicate copies of repeating data in storage. The technique is used to improve storage utilization and can also be applied to network data Transfers to reduce the number of bytes that must be sent. Instead of keeping multiple data copies with the same content, deduplication eliminates redundant data by keeping only one physical copy and referring other redundant data to that copy. Although data deduplication brings a lot of benefits, security and privacy concerns arise as users’ sensitive data are susceptible to both inside and outside attacks. Traditional encryption, while providing data confidentiality, is incompatible with data deduplication. Specifically, traditional encryption requires different users to encrypt their data with their own keys. Thus, identical data copies of different users will lead to different cipher texts, making de duplication impossible.

EXISTING CONCEPT: -

In order Suppose a user wants to download a file called f .It first sends a request and the file name to the Storage-Service provider (SSP) in cloud .Then SSP will check whether the user is eligible to download a file .

 

To avoid a wrong transaction the user will won’t receive the file name directly instead of the file name the key will be send to the (SSP) for security. But there is a chance to get duplicate files if the key is generated two times.

 PROPOSED CONCEPT: -

To solve the file redundancy problem in this de-duplication system we have introduced the hybrid cloud architecture. In this way user not possible to share these private keys. To get the key for the file user need to send a request to the private cloud server.

The final authorization for the duplicate will be checks from the public cloud before uploading this file.

TECHNIQUE DEFINITION:-

The data will be encrypted in our de-duplication system before outsourcing to the SSP. But it is not more secured for avoiding the duplicates.

 

 TECHNIQUE DEFINITION:-

Symmetric encryption uses a common secret key κ to encrypt and decrypt information.

 

 DRAWBACK:-

Each user will be issued private keys for security but there is a chance to get a duplicate key from the user to open the same file.

 ADVANTAGE:-

There is no chance get a duplicate key for the same are another user to open the file because key is stored in the private cloud using the Hybrid cloud.
