Project Abstract

Abstract

We explored the potential of health screening basedon the long-term measurement of cardiovascular parameters usingthe finger volume-oscillometric technique. An automated instrumentmade simultaneous measurements of key cardiovascular parameters,including blood pressure, pulse pressure, heart rate, normalizedpulse volume as an index of α-adrenalin-mediated sympatheticactivity, and finger arterial elasticity. These were derivedfrom finger photo-plethysmographic signals during application ofcuff pressure. To assess the feasibility of achieving a screeningfunction, measurements were made in ten healthy volunteers during10 days of day-to-day living (normal condition), and carriedout several times at a fixed time every day. During successive 10-day measurements, a 30-hour period of total sleep deprivation wasintroduced as a physiological challenge (abnormal condition).

Ø In existing system, there is device to monitor the BP level and heart rate of a person in hospitals alone.

Ø  In home the special nurse need for monitor and take care about the elders.

 

Drawbacks

Ø There is no wireless system for data transfer.

Ø It is not possible without caregivers.

Ø High cost and more time consumption.

Ø  In this system, The Heartbeat sensor used here to sense the heartbeat level of the patient and also BP sensor is used to sense the BP level of them.

Ø  While monitoring there is data updating is happened the system will send the data to the monitoring section.

Ø  They can immediately give recover treatment to the patient to save their life.

Ø Low cost and wireless.

Ø  Easy to monitoring for Doctor’s.
