IMPROVING PHYSICAL LAYER SECURITY FOR CRNS USING SINR-BASED COOPERATIVE BEAMFORMING

Category : Communication

Sub Category : -

Project Code : ITCM02

Project Abstract

In this paper, we consider a new cognitive radio network (CRN), where cooperative beamforming is designed to enhance the physical layer security for both primary users (PUs) and secondary users (SUs). Specially, the proposed design aims to minimize the transmit power of a secondary transmitter, while providing an eavesdropper, a primary receiver, and multiple secondary receivers with different signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR). The semi-definite relaxation (SDR) technique is utilized to convert the initial non-convex problem into a convex semi-definite programming (SDP), which can be efficiently solved. Then, the optimality of SDR is strictly proved by showing the optimal transmit co variances must be rank-1. Numerical examples are provided to corroborate the proposed studies.

EXISTING SYSTEM

PROPOSED SYSTEM

EXISTING CONCEPT

Cognitive radio (CR) is an exciting technology that has the potential to deal with the stringent requirement and scarcity of the radio spectrum in the next generation of wireless communications. Traditionally, secondary users (SUs) are allowed to access the spectrum licensed to primary users (PUs) only when the spectrum is not used or the interference temperature to primary users.

PROPOSED CONCEPT

The cooperative communication for cognitive radio networks (CRN) has been proposed as a new CR paradigm. In the cooperative paradigm, primary network leases part of the spectral resources to SUs in exchange for cooperation. Specifically, studies the design of information beamforming at a multiple-input single-output (MISO) secondary network aiming to improve the secret rate of single-input single-output (SISO) primary network, and investigates cooperative spectrum access for SISO CRNs, which targets to improve the secure transmission of PUs via cooperating SUs.

EXISTING TECHNIQUE:

Semi-definite relaxation (SDR)

PROPOSED TECHNIQUE:

Signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio(SINR)

TECHNIQUE DEFINITION:

Secondary users (SUs) are allowed to access the spectrum licensed to primary users (PUs) only when the spectrum is not used or the interference temperature to PUs is kept below a given level.

TECHNIQUE DEFINITION:

(SDR) technique is utilized to convert the initial non-convex problem into a convex semi-definite programming (SDP)

DRAWBACKS

Finding the best solution from all feasible solutions

No secure transmission.

Transmit power is high

ADVANTAGES

Achieve the best outcome (such as maximum profit or lowest cost).

Improve the secret rate of single-input single-output.

Improve the secure transmission.

Improving physical layer security.

Minimize the transmit power.
